Back in the olden days, before blogging, when a writer didn’t have anything to write about . . . she didn’t write.
My one major complaint about blogging is how it pressures writers to write, even when they have nothing to write about. To me, this cheapens the written word. Everyone feels compelled to keep stringing together words and putting the results before their peers, even if they’re not worthwhile.
I have been doing some writing in the last few weeks but I haven’t posted any of it because it’s mostly been crap. I hope you all understand.
I might not be posting much in the next little bit, either, but mostly because of Harry Potter. I just realized that the last installment of the movies comes out in a little over a month, and I still haven’t read the last two books. I reeeeeally want to have them all read by the time The Deathly Hallows 2 hits the big screen. And despite the fact that I have an MA in English lit and these are kids’ books, I’m a terribly slow reader and will need all the time I can get.
Be back soon . . . when I actually have something to say!
